He is here to walk you through the process of becoming your healthiest self, step by step.

Austin has spent 10 + years as an athlete, 6+ years as a Certified group and Personal fitness Trainer, with 100's of clients, beginners and athletes alike. No matter your age or body type, Austin is the guy you want helping with your fitness. With a friendly and fun style, mixed with lots of experience and know-how, he will get you in great shape and feeling healthier in no time!

Maria Comelli
Personal Trainer

Maria is an ACE-certified personal trainer with with over 9 years’ experience! She has a strong passion for health & fitness along with a proven track record of achieving outstanding results with clients. In her 9 years doing this, she has worked with clients of all ages and body types and developed a deep understanding of the science behind cutting fat, developing and toning muscle, recovering from injuries, and much more.

Maria is skilled in the delivery of functional, strength training and pilates using current techniques in exercise science, with the ability to offer suitable health and fitness products and solutions to exceed clients expectations. She is also adept at designing fitness and nutrition programs that maximize results and help clients develop a true sense of well-being. Most importantly, she is friendly and personable and very easy to work with - she makes your goals effortless!

Stevi Crocker
Personal Trainer

Stevi is a NASM certified personal trainer specializing in women’s health management, including pre/post natal fitness. After a few years in the healthcare/nursing field and a demanding work schedule with a family business, she began to take her functional wellness very seriously after the birth of her two children. Getting back into a dedicated fitness routine reignited her passion for sports, movement, and nutrition.

Stevi focuses on developing the core strength and fundamental movements needed to safely and effectively build a sustainable fitness program that supports your personal goals and growth. She is also proficient in formulating customized nutrition programs to supplement your training and optimize results-whether you’re trying to build muscle, lose fat, or maintain balance. Stevi’s training style is fun and engaging, no matter what stage of life or level of fitness you’re in. Most importantly she is friendly and dedicated to making your workout enjoyable and productive!

Stevi truly believes movement heals us mentally and physically and wants to empower others to incorporate physical activity into their wellness routine.

Chrissy Graham
Yoga Instructor

Chrissy is a Certified E-RYT 500Yoga Instructor with over 27 years of experience! Lighthearted, fun, and passionate, Chrissy radiates positivity. Having traveled to Holland, Hawaii and across the continental United States to teach yoga, she blends philosophy, therapeutics, restoration and a knowledge of nutrition and dietary wellness to create a complete and lively classes.

Chrissy's yoga classes focus on alignment based movement with an emphasis on weight bearing poses and dynamic movement so students are able to develop agreater sense of their bodies' bio-mechanics, to practice safely, and to strengthen while stretching. Yoga is her passion - she can't wait to share the experience with you, whether it's in the comfort of your living room or a beautiful location! No matter your age or body type, Chrissy will make yoga a highly enjoyable experience for you!

Justin Maddox

Hi, I’m Justin! At 14 years old, I got my first gym membership - coming from an athletic background, I instantly fell in love with strength training. But what I never loved was the gym culture that came with it - I felt intimidated and unwelcome, even as I made progress and began to look more like the people around me. In college, I constantly got sick from working out at the Cal Poly Rec Center, and the long lines for equipment ate into my free time.

I accepted this all as a necessary evil until 2020. When the gym got pushed outdoors because of the pandemic, I realized that I actually felt much better exercising outside! The natural beauty of SLO surrounded me and the normal problems of the gym seemed to go away. This was when I began to dream about creating a different fitness experience.

Fast forward to 2024 - I’m living in Santa Barbara with my former college roommate, Owen Troy. Both having gone through the same outdoor gym experience at Cal Poly, we had the idea to create Rare Sol - a private and personalized fitness experience where clients feel like they belong, in a place they feel comfortable, whether that be their home or somewhere beautiful outdoors. Our goal is to make sure that anyone who prefers to workout at-home or outdoors has access to high quality instruction and equipment. We think that you’ll find it to be a far more pleasant experience than the gym!

Owen Troy

Hi everyone, my name is Owen. I'm thrilled to share a bit about why I started this journey. Fitness has always been a cornerstone of my life, shaping not just my body but my overall well-being. Growing up, I played baseball where strength training was emphasized, so I found myself in the gym often, and never questioned it.

During the summer of 2020, when gyms were closed, I found myself working out at home and in nature. It was then that I realized just how transformative and enjoyable it could be to exercise in familiar, comfortable surroundings. Moving to Santa Barbara and seeing the natural beauty of this area, I couldn't help but pull the trigger on creating this opportunity when Justin and I thought of it. We realized everyone deserves a fitness experience that felt personal, comfortable, and flexible.

Our mission at Rare Sol is simple: to bring the gym to you, wherever you feel most at ease. We believe in a holistic approach to fitness, where your mental and emotional health are just as important as your physical strength. The freedom to choose your environment can make all the difference in sticking to a fitness routine and truly enjoying the process.
